MELBOURNE (Australia) – Jannik Sinner returns to the field for the 4th round (round of 16) of the Australian Open 2024. The South Tyrolean tennis player will face the Russian number 15 in the world Karen Khachanov as well as semi-finalist of the last edition. After three matches won on the pitch (0 sets lost and the one with the least amount of time on the court) the first acid test in the Australian slam arrives for Jannik, the tennis player himself declared: “It will be a tough match. He always gets excited in the Slams, and every time we have faced each other they have always been long matches and often ended in tie breaks. We have a similar style of play, we like to play with pace and also physically we are players who move and cover the pitch well. However, he has improved a lot and he has also made some progress when serving. It will be a complicated match but this is why we train, round after round the level will rise and become more and more difficult“.
