Sinner will face the winner of the match between the American Frances Tiafoe (No. 14 Atp) and the expert French Gael Monfils (No. 89 Atp).
However, Matteo Arnaldi did not make it to the quarterfinals of the tournament: the 22-year-old from Sanremo lost 7-5 6-3 to the Russian Andrey Rublev.
The American Frances Tiafoe beat the French Gael Monfils 5-7 6-1 6-4 and enters the quarterfinals of the ATP 500 tournament in Vienna. The number 14 in the ATP rankings will face Jannik Sinner for access to the semi-finals.
