In Sweden’s latest match, the forward pair Alexander Isak and Dejan Kulusevski started. But with Zlatan back, the question arises as to which two will top Sweden in the match against Georgia. A line-up with three forwards is not relevant.
– We want to play with two central forwards, says Janne Andersson.
He is also clear that it is only the match against Georgia that counts. There are no plans to rest important players ahead of this weekend’s match against Spain.
– Now it is Georgia that counts and to put the team on its feet that has the greatest opportunity to implement the match plan that we have and to be able to win the match of course, says Janne Andersson.
Zlatan’s physics
When it comes to Zlatan Ibrahimović, Janne is positive and also says that all players in the squad are ready to start.
– If we talk about Zlatan and his physique, he looks surprisingly good. I thought he looked fit yesterday and also last weekend when he played, he says.
Opens for relocations
Zlatan and Isak are seen as clear forwards who play best centrally. However, Janne opens up for Kulusevski to get a different role on the pitch.
– As it has been with Dejan, he has become a forward with us. But I definitely see him as an alternative as a midfielder also in a national team squad. But he was selected as a forward in the first stage, he says.
As for the starting eleven, Janne says that he is relatively ready. But adds that he still has thoughts about some of the positions.
