Jānis Mārtiņš Reišulis wins the second race of the EMX125 Swedish stage

The young Latvian motor sportsman Jānis Mārtiņš Reišulis (pictured) won the second race of the eighth stage of the European Championship 125 cubic centimeter class (EMX125) season in Sweden on Sunday, while Kārlis Alberts Reišulis finished in the fourth position.

J. Reišulis was the fastest at the start and was in the lead throughout the journey, ahead of the closest follower, Alex Feri from France, by almost 12 seconds. Ivano van Erp from the Netherlands finished third.

Another Latvian, Robert Lusis, was in 19th place in the competition of 39 drivers.

In the first race on Saturday, J. Reišulis was fourth, Lusis finished in 21st place, but K. Reišulis retired soon after the start of the competition, remaining in the last 40th place.

Van Erps won the stage with 45 points, J. Reišulis was second with 43 points, K. Reišulis had 18 points and tenth place, while Lusis ranked 24th with two points.

In the overall standings of the EMX125 class before the last stage, Dutchman Kaas Falks is the leader with 321 points, followed by Feri with 273 points, while Kārlis and Jānis Reišulis are in the third and fourth positions with 272 and 269 points, respectively.

J. Reišulis represents the “KTM Motofavoritis” team, while K. Reišulis is under the umbrella of the factory team “MJC Yamaha”.
