Janine told her to make a tape with presentation material. “On the day of the course, everyone was put their tape in the video recorder and then you got feedback about breathing, interview techniques and I know a lot.” When it was Janine’s turn and her tape was played, Harmen pressed stop after only three seconds. “I really thought: what do we get?” said Janine.

It turned out that Harmen doubted whether Janine was suitable for television. “‘Because you have way too many moles on your face. It’s very distracting,'” says Janine. “I have suffered quite a trauma from that,” said Janine, who said a little earlier in the conversation that people often say that she has ‘a radio head’.
