Rep. Jang’s father, former Vice Speaker of the National Assembly Jang Seong-man, was elected from Buk-gu, Busan in 1981 and 1985 and served as a member of the 11th and 12th National Assembly. Dongseo Academy, founded by former Vice Chairman Jang, is located in Sasang-gu, Busan. Rep. Jang served as a member of the 18th, 20th, and 21st National Assembly in Sasang-gu, which was separated from Buk-gu, his father’s local district, in 1995. Rep.
