Janet Jackson soon on screens in January 2022

Janet Jackson is one of the most successful and influential pop stars all time. Coming from a family of superstars which made the headlines, in particular her brother Michael, she always shone by her talent and her dedication to her art. In a few days, the documentary titled Janet Jackson Zooming in on Her Life will hit screens.

A new trailer unveiled

For celebrating Janet Jackson’s extraordinary career, Lifetime and A&E have developed a two-part documentary which will detail many aspects of his life. Viewers will learn about her upbringing, her relationship with her father, her art, her brother Michael, her role as a mother, the dramas that surround her and much more.

The trailer released to promote the production claims it took five years to make the episode and that it includes previously unreleased footage. This autobiographical documentary will be released this month.

A second documentary on Janet Jackson

As a reminder, this is the second production documentary involving Janet Jackson, since November saw the release of “Malfunction: The Dressing Down of Janet Jackson”, available on Hulu and FX. The film details the event and the fallout from Janet Jackson’s wardrobe malfunction when she worked with Justin Timberlake for the 2004 Super Bowl halftime show.

The King of Pop’s sister Michael Jackson struggled to return to the limelight after Timberlake accidentally exposed her nipple on stage. The relationship between Janet and Justin was severed from this incident and this disagreement was one of the biggest controversies on American television.

Some stars interviewed for the upcoming documentary

The production of the documentary on Janet has interviewed a handful of stars who will appear in the episode. We will therefore have the opportunity to listen to Missy Elliott, Mariah Carey, Q-Tip, Janelle Monae, Teyana Taylor, Tyler Perry, Samuel L. Jackson and many others.

At the end of the trailer, Lifetime and A&E announce documentary Janet Jackson to air Friday, January 28 at 8 p.m. for the first part. As for the second part, it will be broadcast the following evening.
