It looks like in an iconic rock band JANE’S ADDICTION relations are not exactly good now. Singer Perry Farrell assaulted guitarist Dave Navarro right on stage, ending the concert early.
The incident occurred during the final stage of the performance JANE’S ADDICTION on Friday, September 13 in Boston. As the band finished the song „Ocean Size“Farrell, who had clearly been out of his mind throughout the evening, either drunk or drugged, began to aggressively engage the guitarist. Confused, Navarro looked at him and at first asked what was going on. But eventually he stopped playing and pushed Farrell away. The singer managed to punch him before a member of the band crew together with bassist Eric Avery restrained him. The entire team and band then tried to restrain Farrell and led him away from the stage. The rest of the band then had time to say goodbye to the audience.
The Boston show was part of a joint tour JANE’S ADDICTION s LOVE & ROCKETSwith 15 stops still remaining in the itinerary. This is followed by a concert on September 15 in Bridgeport. How will things go with the band’s big comeback, that’s the question…
In a recent interview with Guitar World, Eric Avery admitted that he doesn’t know if they will JANE’S ADDICTION still exist in 2025. “I don’t know if we’re a band that you can think will still be around in a year. But let’s hope our current connection lasts.” he told the magazine.
