Sister Wives: Kody’s Absence at Graduation Highlights Family Rift
Janelle Brown threw a graduation party for her youngest daughter, Savanah, on a recent episode of Sister Wives, but one key figure was noticeably absent: Savanah’s father, Kody Brown.
While many of Kody’s other children graced the celebration held at daughter Christine Brown’s home, Janelle revealed that Kody was intentionally left off the guest list. She candidly explained that neither she nor Savanah has much interaction with Kody or his remaining wife, Robyn. Janelle insisted that Kody’s presence would have created an "awkward" atmosphere.
"But first…can someone tell me which one is Savanah? It’s obviously Christine’s fault that I don’t know!”

Kody seemed to agree with Janelle’s assessment, claiming he wouldn’t have expected an invitation. He attributed his absence to his strained relationships with both Janelle and Christine, stating that he wouldn’t be able to attend as long as Robyn was still in the picture.
"I’d like to be able to be part of Savanah’s life, but it’s like [the family is] in this collusion that seems to hate Robyn and I don’t know why,”

Janelle dismissed Kody’s claim, asserting that he wouldn’t have been invited regardless of Robyn’s presence, given the estrangement he faces with the vast majority of their children.
“So, Kody has this idea that somehow if he leaves Robyn home, he’s gonna be able to come to these family gatherings and that’s so far from the truth,”

“Kody is alienated from 90 to 95 percent of his children. He is not really wanted at events,”
Kody’s exit from the party highlights the desolate state of his relationships with his numerous children and ex-wives.
"He’s not coming, regardless of who he brings or doesn’t bring with him,” Janelle added.”
Kody expressed frustration about this current dynamic and insisted once more that he’s being unfairly ostracized because of his marriage to Robyn.
“I’ve got this whole other side of the family that have decided that they’re still a family and we’re out,”
" Now, they’ll let me in that club as long as I leave Robyn behind. I can’t do that.”
