Jandro Orellana and Oriol Busquets have terminated their contract this summer with FC Barcelona B. The two midfielders of the subsidiary are now free players, although they still have options to stay in the Barcelona team. The club intends to retain both, although it remains to be seen whether they decide to stay, as they have interesting offers from other teams on their table.
While the negotiation with Barça continues its course, both are working together to not lose shape. By not being able to be doing the preseason with the Catalans, the two train together to be in the best possible physical tone once everything is solved. After one of these individual training sessions, the former Twente climbed a story to his Instagram account in which he dropped that they are looking for new equipment.
“Market opportunities”, Busquets wrote, with a photo of himself and Jandro after training. The player accompanied this with an emoticon of a wink, making it clear that both are open to listen to any proposal that may come to them. However, someone must have caught his attention, since minutes later he deleted the publication and uploaded it again with a less controversial message.
“Prepared” was the word Oriol used to describe his story, with the same snapshot of him and Orellana that he posted minutes before. It seems that the youth squad does not want him and Jandro to run out of options to continue at Barcelona and that is why he changed his words. Now, it remains to be seen what happens with the negotiation between the club and the footballers, which right now is stagnant, but that should be resolved soon.
Jandro has more options to stay
From the club there seems to be more interest in Orellana, who is one year younger and that until his injury he was the starting midfielder of B. It was precisely this injury that made Javier García Pimienta bet on Nico González in that position, something that has changed the Galician’s career. With him at that level, Jandro is no longer indispensable, although Barça will try to keep him going, as he is a great midfielder with a lot of potential.
