The legendary Moravanka played her penultimate live concert on Tuesday in Boskovice. Jan Slabák’s band, which for many is perhaps synonymous with Moravian brass bands at the end of the year, closes an incredible line and a list of eight thousand concerts played in fifty years and sixteen days. “A world band was formed. We were in America three times and we traveled all over Europe. They remember mainly the musicians where they did, and then I had to iron it as a bandleader, “said Slabák, a native of Kyjov, looking back at his rich experience. Almost eighty records, CDs and other media and six hundred songs remain behind Moravnka. Jan Slabák wants to continue to focus on music, he will work in his publishing house.
