Jan participated in the first season of the knowledge quiz in 2012 and made it to the final. Unfortunately, he lost there at the last minute to comedian and presenter Arjen Lubach. The last question went wrong: “What do you know about Moulin Rouge?.” Both men stood at 42 seconds and after much deliberation from the jury, the player who was last to act was allowed to start. This was Arjen and he won with three correct answers.

Jan already left in the AD know that he had a chat with presenter Philip Freriks. Jan indicated that he would love to participate in The smartest person, but Philip informed him that this is not actually the intention: “I think it is already full. In addition, former candidates do not come back.” Jan, however, was not satisfied with that and bounced back: “Unless it is their last wish.”

The musician now sees his last wish come true on Thursday. Although he says he regularly suffers from his ‘chemo brain’, he is still very fanatical. So it could just be that he still manages to kick it very far.
