Ján Pardavý will continue to lead HC Slovan Bratislava

The coaches of the hockey players of HC Slovan Bratislava continue to have the full confidence of the club representatives. His leadership and sports management discussed the recent results after Tuesday’s home loss against the bottom team of the extra league table Prešov (1:4) in a joint meeting with coaches and players.

The reigning Slovak champion announced this on his official website on Wednesday.

Slovan won only two out of five matches after the February international break, but continues to lead the table with a three-point lead over Zvolen. The club’s shareholders expressed their full support to the coaching team, led by chief helmsman Ján Pardavý, and to the sports management.

The club’s leadership emphasized that the results from recent meetings, especially at home, cannot be repeated. It appealed to the players with an emphasis on improving performance, teamwork and making maximum efforts to correct the game performance towards the end of the regular season and the upcoming playoffs.

According to the club’s statement, Slovan will enter the end of the long-term part with the aim of confirming the first place and preparing as best as possible for the elimination part, in which they will defend the championship title. He will play four more matches before the end of the regular season – he will appear in Zvolen, Trenčín and Liptovský Mikuláš and in the final 44th round he will play at home against Nový Zámky.
