Jan Kumstát (17) will play for the junior title at the Australian Open. In the semi-finals, he defeated Mees Rottgering (16) from the Netherlands 6:1 and 6:3. His opponent in Saturday’s final will be the fourth-seeded Rei Sakamoto (17) from Japan.
Jan Kumstát made it to the final in his first appearance at the Junior Grand Slam. At the Australian Open, he can become only the second Czech champion – Jiří Veselý is the only one who managed to dominate the junior in Melbourne in 2011.

In the junior doubles final, Petr Brunclík failed with the Briton Viktor Frydrych, who were not enough against the Americans Maxwell Exsted and Cooper Woestendick and lost 3:6, 5:7. They did not follow up on a few hours old semi-final triumph over another American pair Kaylan Bigun, Jagger Leach.
Julie Paštiková and German Julia Stuseková will fight for the title, who will fight in the final with the American couple Tyra Caterina Grantová and Iva Jovicová. In the semi-finals, Paštiková and Stuseková defeated the British couple Hannah Klugmanová and Minge Xuová 6:3, 1:6 and 10:8.
