BZN icon Jan Keizer, like many other musicians of his age, has been struggling with hearing problems for ages.

Today, performers perform with earplugs, which transmit the sound while protecting the hearing. It used to be different. Singers of Jan’s generation had to figure it out in a hurricane of decibels. ‘It was no different, with all the associated consequences’, Jan tells Story. “But I have to say that a new world has opened up for me since I got a hearing aid.”
