Whether viewing warnings can offer solace to actively warn television viewers about certain content of comedy shows, for example with icons in the picture: Van der Wal is not convinced.
“We live in tense times, and people who want to get angry quickly find a reason to do so. That’s what Dave Chappelle’s show is about. Exciting comedy is just trying to find answers to the big questions of our time, in spite of everything. That Chappelle also dares to do that: I can only have respect and praise for that,” concludes van der Wal.
