Jan Gunnar Røise, Celebrities | Jan Gunnar Røise on ‘secret’ TV past: – Absolutely crazy

In these times, the actor Jan Gunnar Røise (47) is current The Netflix series “Christmas Storm”. He is also known for the TV series ‘Pørni’ where he plays the character of Pørni’s ex-husband Finn.

Most people probably know Røise as a serious actor, but perhaps not everyone remembers that Røise was a regular on TV 2’s ‘Thursday evening from Nydalen’ ten years ago.

When Nettavisen met the actor at the ‘Julestorm’ press conference, he recalled the ‘Thursday evening from Nydalen’ era. A time that for many has passed into oblivion, and for which it is necessary to search for a long time on the internet.

From 2012 to 2013, he was one of the regular hosts and performed in several sketches over the course of two seasons. According to Røise, it was a wild experience.

– I didn’t make it

Even ten years after his stint in the comedy program, he still has the experiences fresh in his mind. He describes the experience as educational and helpful.

– It was fun and educational. But it was a completely crazy plan, he tells Nettavisen.

The comedy program aired on TV from 2009 to 2014, and the comedians performed several memorable sketches during the broadcast, including the duo “Tina and Bettina”, “DJ Dan” and “Georg returns”.

As Jan Gunnar Røise himself says, the sketch series was not quite his thing, but he still agreed to “Thursday evening from Nydalen” because he wanted to work with humor and good people.

Her colleagues were Henriette Steenstrup (48), John Brungot (45) and Sigrid Bonde Tusvik (42), which according to Nettavisen was a great honour.

– John, Henriette and Sigrid, the really hardworking people, I have so much respect for them. That they can put on a wig and go straight, that’s a lot of fun.

But according to him, he had a hard time keeping up with the humor of his colleagues.

– I didn’t feel like I “nailed” that plan there. I think it was quite difficult, actually, says the 47-year-old.

He was embarrassingly hit

The program was known for its sleazy humor and comedian and original series member, Else Kåss Furuseth (42) shocked viewers with naked shock in 2010which he did again just three years later:

Røise can no doubt agree that many embarrassing things have been done in “Thursday evening from Nydalen”, and when asked if he had ever been embarrassed by the things he had to do in the programme, he replied:

– Yes, I would say exactly that, Røise says with a smile.

– That was the humor then, he continues.

In view of the debut in the TV show Røise told Nettavisen in 2012 that she intended to show some nudity in the first program.

– Everyone has to be naked the first week, I get it, so the plan is to be naked in the first program. That used to be the case with newcomers, Røise said then.

During Røise’s time in the comedy program, he often parodied Thomas Giertsen’s series “Helt Perfekt”, among other things in sketches “Jan Gunnar, now you have to stop!” and “Jan Gunnar, what the hell are you doing?”

– It was a bit tough, concludes the 47-year-old.
