Jan got his down-to-earth attitude from his now deceased father. Not being able to show emotions as well, the singer claims. “It’s very difficult for me not to be able to express my emotions, but for the outside world it’s easy. They don’t have to worry about me, because everything seems to be going well. No long-term damage.”
After Donna’s death, Jan and his girlfriend Caroline work on the death of their daughter in therapy. After a year and a half, the singer can sum up: speaking has been precious. “It’s a bit strange when you go through something so terrible and you’re the only one who doesn’t cry. Everyone who has come to see us has collapsed in grief, except me.”
Donna died on December 19, 2020, three months after her birth, due to a torn diaphragm. In November 2021, Jan and Caroline welcomed their third daughter, Lina:
