“I believed from the beginning and here you have it. So everyone, believe and fulfill your dreams, because it’s possible, it’s possible!” shouted Honza Albrecht with joy. “When you put your mind to something, go after it and don’t let anything talk you down, it works,” added the MasterChef winner.

Honza Albrecht was supported in the final by his partner, the contestants had to cook in front of an audience consisting of friends and families as well as contestants who were eliminated in previous rounds. This perhaps caused even more stress for the contestants.

During the exciting evening, the contestants prepared a three-course menu, which then the jury tasted and scored individually. Honz Albrecht did the best. He already scored with an appetizer in the form of kohlrabi, smoked eel with caviar and kefir.

He also dazzled the jury with the main courses he prepared rabbit with black garlic sauce with kidneys, radish, spinach and yeast dumpling. “I took it as a celebration of the rabbit,” said Honza. Juror Přemek Forejt criticized the way the food was served, but the jury praised the taste of the dish.

In the end, all three of them cooked the dessert

This year’s final brought a major change. Only two finalists were to prepare the third course, i.e. dessert, who scored the most points from the appetizer and main course. But fate wanted it differently. While Terka had 43 points after the first two rounds, Honza and Kuba had the same 42 points. And since they were the same, the jury decided that all three would prepare the dessert!

For dessert, Honza prepared his favorite strawberries with sour cream, which he remembered from his childhood. But for the competition, he prepared marinated strawberries with frozen cream and horseradish gel.

In the sum of all points, Honzo’s menu won. It is now up to him how he will use this unique opportunity.
