Jammu and Kashmir, Haryana; Janavidhi should be a lesson for secular forces: CPI M

The CPI-M Politburo said in a statement that the successful victory in Jammu and Kashmir and the unexpected halt in Haryana would teach valuable lessons to the secular forces in the country in the fight against the Upcoming BJP. The National Conference and its allies are preparing to form a government in Jammu and Kashmir after six years of dictatorial rule by the central government. The decision of the people of Jammu and Kashmir completely rejects the decisions of the BJP government at the Center to oppose the democratic aspirations of the people by revoking Article 370, removing statehood and redistribution with malicious intent.

In Haryana, the BJP won a majority in the number of seats, but the vote difference with the Congress was only 0.6 percent. The BJP has won victory through a hidden agenda and caste based consolidation. Taking this into account, the Congress should do a self-examination of the factors that contributed to the BJP’s success. In a statement, the Politburo congratulated the voters who elected Muhammad Yusuf Tarigami for the fifth term in Jammu and Kulgam Kashmir.
