Jamie Redknapp sees Chelsea as a possible destination for Tottenham striker Harry Kane in the summer.

Harry Kane is easily considered one of the deadliest strikers in world football and has consistently broken the 20 goal barrier for Tottenham in recent seasons.

But despite all the goals, despite all the great performances and despite all his assists, he has never won a trophy in his football career and there is a feeling that this must be his last season at Spurs.

Kane is out of contract at the end of next season and it is widely believed that he will not sign a new contract, meaning this summer will be the only chance Tottenham will have to get some money for the big man.

Now, amid all the speculation, Redknapp has opened up and suggested that Chelsea could be a good move for the man. The former Liverpool midfielder added: “It’s going to be a great summer because if you look at two of the big clubs in the Premier League.

“Obviously we are talking about Manchester United. They fight without a striker, they need a killer in front of goal. [Anthony] Martial just doesn’t work.

“Chelsea are crying out for someone to score goals.

“If Pochettino went there, the first player he would want would be someone like Harry Kane, so it will be fascinating to see how that develops.” It will be very interesting.”

Kane is Tottenham’s man and could be the striker to break the all-time Premier League goalscoring record, but he needs to win something.

This is the right time to leave the club and give himself more of a trophy chance and it will be interesting to see if he would be willing to join Chelsea now that Pochettino is heading to the club.
