Jamie Lynn Spears, sister of American pop singer Britney Spears, has for the first time publicly responded to the controversial regime under which her sister falls.

Father Jamie Spears has been her administrator since 2008, after being forced into hospital for alcohol and drug abuse. In a testimony of 23 minutes, Britney Spears told the judge in detail last week about the far-reaching consequences on her personal life. She spoke of abuse and a traumatic experience.
“I’m so proud she’s making her voice heard,” Jamie Lynn Spears said on Instagram. “If she wants to end the government, or anything to be happy, I support that.”
Criticism
Although Britney received a huge amount of support from other celebrities immediately after the testimony, there was no response from her younger sister. She was criticized for this on social media.
‘I didn’t think it was my place to speak until my sister had the chance to do so herself. That just wasn’t right,” the actress said. ‘I can only respond now that she has been able to tell her story. And I can only say that I have adored my sister all my life. She is and remains my older sister. I don’t care if she wanted to run away to the rainforest and have hundreds of children or make a comeback and dominate the world as she has so many times in the past. I’m her sister, all I care about is her happiness.’
She says she will always support her sister. “I don’t need a hashtag for that. I can assure you that I have always supported her, long before there was a hashtag. And I will continue to do so.’
