BVInfluencer Jamie-Lee Six (25) has been noticeably absent from social media in recent days. On Wednesday, she broke the silence and revealed that she was taking a break from all social media. “I have enjoyed every minute that has passed.” In September, she tearfully denounced the fierce criticism she had to deal with: “Sometimes it’s too much,” she said at the time.
“Influencers are constantly online and at work”: it is a statement that everyone has an opinion about and a topic that has set many tongues wagging. Nowadays you often hear stories of influencers or other well-known figures taking a break from their social media. Recently, YouTuber and podcast maker Ender Scholtens also took some distance from his social channels, and now Jamie-Lee Six did the same.
Taking to Instagram, the 25-year-old ‘D5R’ star revealed that she was taking some time for herself over the holidays and stepping away from social media: “I took a break from social media after being around for over 10 years. Took time to celebrate Christmas/New Year with family and friends and enjoyed every minute that passed,” she said in the photo of her parading through the streets of London.

“I’m going to be honest with you: I feel so f*cking bad. Everyone expects so much from you, you have to constantly do your best. Yet there are so many people who comment on me. They accuse me of not having a job or a real life, but what are you doing? Stop constantly interfering with you in my life!”, an emotional Jamie-Lee said in September.
In the video she spoke about people who think they are better than her and also often labeled Jamie-Lee as “too confident” because she had to wear lingerie to a fashion show. “Sometimes it’s just too much,” he continues. “I can tolerate a lot of commentary, but sometimes it’s just all too much, too f*cking much.”
Jamie-Lee is certainly not the only influencer who openly talks on social media about the downside of being famous. Jonatan Medart also recently vented his heart in an emotional video on his YouTube channel. Zita Wauters also came out with all the criticism she has to deal with.
