Actor Jamie Foxx takes the role of boxing legend Mike Tyson for a new series, reports Variety. The series, that Tyson Hot and directed by Antoine Fuqua, will tell the whole life story of the boxer.
“I’ve been looking for a way to tell my story for a long time,” says 54-year-old Tyson of the series. “I look forward to working with Antoine and Jamie and the whole team. I want to give the audience a series that captures my professional and personal journey, but also inspires and entertains.”
Where and when the series will be shown is not yet clear. It is the second series about the multiple world champion to be announced in a short time. Streaming service Hulu is also making a series about the multiple world champion, entitled Iron Mike. Tyson is not involved and has expressed dissatisfaction with the unauthorized production.
