Actor Jamie Foxx has released his first statement to the public since he was hospitalized nearly three weeks ago for an unknown “medical complication”. Foxx, who was reportedly taken ill on the set of the Netflix comedy Back in Action, posted a message on Instagram thanking his fans for their support and expressing his gratitude for their prayers. While no further details about the incident have been released, Foxx’s daughter Corinne stated that he was “already on his way to recovery” due to “quick action and great care.” Despite his absence from the film, Back in Action has continued filming with stand-ins and body doubles for Foxx, and has reportedly wrapped. Foxx, who won an Academy Award for his role as Ray Charles in the music biopic Ray, has a number of upcoming projects in the works, including the comedy horror Day Shift and the sci-fi comedy They Cloned Tyrone.
