Jamie Foxx and his daughter Corinne Foxx are set to return as hosts for the seventh season of Fox’s interactive music game show, “Beat Shazam.” The show, which premieres on Tuesday, May 28 at 8 PM ET/PT on Fox and will also stream on Hulu, features teams of two competing against each other and the clock to identify hit songs. The team with the most money banked will have the chance to go against the app Shazam for a shot at winning $1 million.
Jamie Foxx, who also serves as an executive producer, was unable to host the sixth season due to medical complications and was replaced by Nick Cannon. However, Foxx is now back and ready to take on the hosting duties once again. His daughter, Corinne Foxx, will join him as co-host and deejay, adding a unique dynamic to the show.
Allison Wallach, Fox Entertainment’s President of Unscripted Entertainment, praised the father-daughter duo, stating that they are the heart and soul of “Beat Shazam.” Their relationship brings a special element to the show, making it unlike any other. Having them back on set for this season is a wonderful addition.
Throughout its six previous seasons, “Beat Shazam” has given away over $10 million in prize money. This season, the show will feature special themed episodes, including teams of fathers, siblings, teachers, heroes, and mothers.
