Jamie Carragher and Rio Ferdinand Clash Over Saudi Arabia’s Player Recruitment

Former Liverpool legend, Jamie Carragher, attacked Saudi Arabia’s policy of attracting stars from the Premier League and Europe to play in its clubs, similar to what Chelsea star Ngolo Kante did, and Wolverhampton striker Robin Neves, to which the retired Manchester United player, Rio Ferdinand, accused him of hypocrisy. Ferdinand denied that he had been asked to participate in the analytical studio for the opening match, describing such statements as “false news”.
