James Webb Space Telescope Captures Unique Question Mark Shape in Outer Space

VIVA Digital – The universe indeed holds unique and mysterious things that always attract the attention of the world’s people. Recently, the James Webb Space Telescope (JWST) has succeeded in photographing a unique form in outer space.

The James Webb telescope captures the galaxy in a question mark shape. The location of the galaxy is in the constellation Vela, about 1,470 light years from Earth. This image was released by the James Webb Space Telescope Team at the European Space Agency (ESA) on June 26, 2023.

Although it has been released for a long time, space scientists have only recently presented the discovery. Launching from the page Spacein the image, the stars named Herbig-Haro 46/47, are surrounded by a disk of material that “feeds” the stars as they grow over millions of years.

However, just below those stars, in the background of these amazing space images, is an object that looks like a giant cosmic question mark. However, it is not clear what exactly the object of the question mark is, but its color and shape give an idea.

“It may be a distant galaxy, or a potentially interacting galaxy (their interaction may have led to a distorted question mark shape),” said a representative from the Space Telescope Science Institute (STScI) in Baltimore. Space.com.

STScl says that the color of objects in JWST images tells experts that the object is quite far away. What’s more interesting, though, is that this object may be the first time astronomers have seen a cosmic question mark.
