Allergist James Tracy, DO, of Omaha, Nebraska, has been named president of the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology (ACAAI) during the ACAAI Annual Scientific Meeting in Boston on October 27. Cherie Zachary, MD, of Eagan, Minnesota, was elected president-elect of the ACAAI.
Other newly elected officials include David Stukus, MD, as vice president and Kelly Maples, MD, as treasurer. The new regents are Karla Adams, MD; Tania Elliott, MD; and Niraj Patel, MD.
James Tracy is a certified allergist with 34 years of experience. He graduated from the University of New England School of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his fellowship at Willford Hall Medical Center. He is currently a partner at Associates in Allergy, Asthma and Immunology and has academic appointments at the University of Nebraska and Creighton University.
Tracy has been active on several ACAAI commissions and was recognized as a Distinguished Fellow of the College in 2019. He has been repeatedly listed among Omaha’s Top Doctors.
Cherie Zachary is a certified allergist practicing at Midwest Ear, Nose & Throat Allergy & Asthma. He graduated in Economics from Stanford University and completed his medical training at Howard University. She has worked as an assistant physician after completing her specialization.
Zachary is also actively involved in various medical organizations and has held various positions within the ACAAI. She has been recognized by her patients and colleagues as an outstanding medical professional.
