James Rodriguez removed from the Colombian selection before the Copa America

The Everton player was judged “in poor shape” by the Colombian coach who will not take him back for the World Cup qualifiers either.

It’s a huge blow for James Rodriguez: the Colombian Federation announced that he was not included in the selection for the Copa América this summer.

The Everton player “has been subjected to medical examinations which have determined that he is not at the optimal level, which is why he will not be able to join the squad.”

The former Real Madrid player will also not play the matches against Peru and Argentina which count towards the 2022 World Cup qualifiers.
