Reyes James is racing to be ready in time to participate with his country in the World Cup, which will be held in Qatar next month, as he tries to recover from a knee injury.
British news agency “BA Media” reported that James, “22,” is still wearing a brace after injuring his knee in the game that Chelsea beat Milan 2-0 in the Champions League on 11 October, which is the injury Graham Potter said. The Chelsea manager said she would be out of the game for eight weeks and could not participate in the World Cup because of him.
But less than two weeks before England manager Gareth Southgate arrives on 10 November, James believes there is still a chance to join the squad.
James said in comments published by the newspaper “The Sun”: “I have to keep working in the next few weeks and see where I will be on the day of the call. I will try not to exclude myself from participating. It is still slow and I am still in the early stages.
He added: “I’ve been in rehab for two weeks, so I’m still waiting for improvement day after day. The Chelsea medical staff did not give a percentage on my chance to participate in the World Cup.
He stressed: It depends on how I feel as time approaches and how stable things are.
