NBA BASKETBALL
Los Angeles (USA), Mar 10 (EFE).- James Harden beat Reggie Miller on Thursday to become the third-best three-pointer in NBA history.
After the three shots he made today, Harden has 2,563 triples and now he only has Stephen Curry (3,102 not counting those he scored in his game on Thursday against the Denver Nuggets) and Ray Allen (2,973).
This Harden mark, which surpassed Reggie Miller’s 2,560 triples, was the only good news the player had this Thursday in the debacle of his Philadelphia 76ers against his previous team, the Brooklyn Nets (100-129).
Like the rest of the Sixers, Harden had a night to forget and could only contribute 11 points (3 of 17 shooting), 6 rebounds and 5 assists.
Instead, the Nets delivered a masterclass in Ben Simmons’ highly anticipated and controversial return to Philadelphia — he sat out today due to injury.
Kevin Durant (25 points, 14 rebounds and 7 assists) and Kyrie Irving (22 points, 4 rebounds and 5 assists) led a Nets in which Seth Curry (24 points) gave himself the luxury of taking revenge on his former team.
This loss to the Nets is the Sixers’ first under Harden, who so far had five straight wins with his new team.
