Peacemaker and The Suicide Squad director James Gunn admits there will be more Justice League in his upcoming DCEU projects.
The end of the series Peacemaker on HBO Max brought us back to League of Justice. He did it with half of its members in the shadows, since we couldn’t see even Wonder Womanis a Supermanis a Batman. However, we did have the cameo of Ezra Miller What The Flash and Jason Momoa What Aquaman. It was all thanks to James Gunnwho wanted to give his project uniformity with the rest of the DCEUalthough it could not use all its actors given the contractual problems of Warner Bros. Pictures. But will we soon see more of the group of superheroes from DC Comics?
James Gunn has spoken with Games Radar and has commented very interesting things about it. He has left the door open for more cameos like the one we saw. «I think we’re going to see more connections in other franchises as we move forward with Season 2 of Peacemaker and other HBO Max series.«, assured the filmmaker flatly. «Those cameos will continue to happen. I don’t know if it will be the Justice League again… We’ll see!» It looks like it’s going to surprise us with a lot of intertextuality. On the other hand, this is really necessary in the DCEU, given the messiness of their shared universe.
