James Gunn is no stranger to superhero movies. The director already made the first two for Marvel Guardians of the Galaxymovies and will also return for the third installment. Before this, however, he started working at DC with The Suicide Squad. Now he is talking about the genre.
A while back, the world-famous director Martin Scorsese herself negative about the superhero movies. Many other celebrities made themselves heard afterwards. Some agreed with him, others thought his criticism went too far. Gunn is now also somewhat lashing out at the superhero movies.

In a recent interview, Gunn said the following: ”I have to say that in the beginning I absolutely loved all the superhero movies. But I think I’m running out of ideas and it’s all getting a bit monotonous…”
”As a result, I now find most superhero movies just plain boring! Okay, there are still people trying to come up with original stories, so it’s not 100% true, but most of them today are just boring”.
