Jameda: Demand for video consultations has risen sharply due to Corona

Due to the high risk of infection, the doctor-patient portal jameda has recently been offering one of its premium services free of charge: video consultation hours on the portal can be used free of charge for both doctors and patients for the next six months.-

With more than 6 million patients per month, jameda is by far the largest doctor-patient portal in Germany. While the doctors here have the opportunity to advertise their services and services on their own profile page, patients can, conversely, find out more about the doctors in order to find the appropriate practice with general practitioners, orthopedists and the like. An anonymous evaluation function also helps here, in which patients can grade doctors according to the school grading system.

Current figures reveal that the interest in video consultations in Corona times is extremely high. Since the beginning of the corona crisis, the number of users at jameda has increased fourfold. The demand for the virtual office hours increased by more than 1,000 percent compared to the previous month – the video office hours are currently carried out more than seven times as often as in February.
