New York (USA), 13 Feb. Jalen Brunson reigned this Monday in the New York derby with a monumental performance of forty points (15 of 21 on shots), supported by Josh Hart’s 27, recently incorporated from the Blazers, to knock down the Brooklyn Nets 124-106 .
The Knicks ended a streak of nine consecutive derbies won by the Nets, which had lasted since January 26, 2020.
Brunson was able to count on the support of an excellent Josh Hart and a double double of 18 points and ten rebounds from Julius Randle.
Tom Thibodeau’s team has won four of its last five games and is seventh in the Eastern Conference (32-27).
The Nets, now without Kevin Durant, transferred to the Phoenix Suns, nor Kyrie Irving, signed by the Dallas Mavericks, suffered their second consecutive defeat despite 28 points from Spencer Dinwiddie and are fifth in the East (33-24). EFE
