“In terms of health, Alderetes now has a new mammogram, which is very important because it saves lives. Because the digitalization of the image allows for early detection and the results can be used to act more quickly. All of this helps improve the quality of life of the residents of Alderetes,” said the Vice Governor.

The mayor added that “a digital CT scanner was inaugurated in the operational area, which is very important for the prevention of breast cancer. That is why it is very important to spread the word and tell society that here in Alderetes we have high medical technology to treat our neighbors.”

Finally, Medina Ruiz stressed that “this is a very good innovation, which is the digitalization of images from the X-ray machine and the mammogram. To understand the magnitude of what this means, in Alderetes 779 mammograms were performed so far this year and 53 cases of breast cancer were detected early, which means that these women will be able to have adequate treatment with the expectation of being cured. That is the importance of bringing technology and health as close as possible to the people.”
