Jalan Gatot Subroto Directions Semanggi Traffic jam this morning

Congestion traffic occurred on Jalan Gatot Subroto, South Jakarta this morning. Density occurs due to the volume of vehicles.

monitoring detikcom at 08.14 WIB, Monday (20/2/2023), a traffic jam occurred on Jalan Gatot Subroto towards Semanggi. Meanwhile, traffic in the opposite direction is monitored smoothly.

The sound of horns sounded shouted. A number of traffic police officers and the Department of Transportation were seen managing traffic flow at the location.

Vehicles that pass are dominated by two wheels and four wheels. A number of two-wheeled vehicles seem desperate to climb the sidewalk to avoid traffic jams.

A resident of Hendar (25) said that traffic jams in Jakarta are getting worse. According to him, the government must re-implement work from home (WFH) to minimize congestion.

“Hybrid work therapy offices if possible, so there are those who are WFH, they don’t have to go to the office all,” he said when met at the location.

According to him, using private vehicles and public transportation is not much different. He said both of them spent a long time on the streets.

“Moreover, the distance from the house is far away, riding a motorbike, taking public transportation also gets stuck,” he said.

In contrast to Hendar, Ayu (24) thinks there should be improvements in the application of odd-even numbers to reduce congestion. In addition, according to him, the government also needs to increase public transportation.

“What’s effective is the regulation first, starting from the odd-even rules. Including public transportation facilities that are also being expanded,” he said.
