The police dispersed the crowd of thousands Jakmania in Bundaran HI, Central Jakarta, last night. The General Chairperson of Jakmania Diky Soemarno spoke up about the incident.
Diky admitted that internally his party had appealed to its members not to take to the streets celebrating Persija Jakarta’s victory. Diky Soemarno also admitted that his party had never issued an invitation to Jakmania members to celebrate Persija Jakarta’s victory by means of a convoy as happened on Sunday (25 /) last night.
“We have made requests and directions to stay at home,” said Diky when contacted detikcom, Monday (26/4/2021).
Regarding the dozens of Persija supporters who were secured by the police, Diky said he would cooperate and follow the applicable legal process. In addition, he said that he would provide internal sanctions if any of his members were proven to have committed violations.
“Yes, definitely (the provision of internal sanctions). Back to the prevailing rules. It depends on what kind of mistake,” said Diky.
Police officers are also known to be calling Jakmania management related to the crowd. However, until now, Diky admitted that his party had not received an invitation to investigate from the Polda Metro Jaya.
“Not yet (the summons for police investigation). But we communicate and coordinate with Polda Metro. We just follow the legal process,” explained Diky.
As is well known, thousands of Jakmanias carried out a convoy that created a crowd at the HI Roundabout, Central Jakarta, on Sunday (25/4) night. The convoy was carried out following Persija Jakarta’s success in winning the 2021 Menpora Cup tournament.
In the convoy of victory, much was obtained Jakmania who do not adhere to health protocols during a pandemic. The police moved quickly to disperse the crowd.
Previously, Central Jakarta Metro Police Chief Kombes Hengki Haryadi said that at least 63 people had been arrested overnight at Polda Metro Jaya. In addition, his party is currently investigating the intellectual actor who instigated it the crowd at the HI Roundabout.
“There is a plan to be summoned from the Criminal Investigation Unit of Polda Metro Jaya and an investigation will be carried out to gather and so on. Who ordered it to do so, the actor must be summoned,” said Hengki.
