It was when actor Jake Gyllenhaal (40) visited “The Howard Stern Show” recently that he admitted to having warm feelings for opponent Jennifer Aniston (52) when they filmed “The Good Girl”.
It writes New York Post.
The romantic comedy was released in 2002, and only now, almost 20 years later, does Gyllenhaal shed light on how challenging it was to play love scenes with someone you had feelings for.
– Filming the sex scenes was torture, that was it, he says with a twinkle in his eye.
He elaborates:
– But at the same time it was not. I mean, it was a mix of both.
Used pillow
Despite warm feelings from Gyllenhaal’s side, he emphasizes that the intimate scenes were pure acting.
– Love scenes are difficult. There are maybe 30-50 people around, and that does not turn me on. It’s strangely mechanical, a kind of dance with a choreography in front of the camera, he explains.
He also reveals that a pillow was used during the filming.
– I remember a special pillow technique. It was a preventative method in all the horizontal parts of the film, he says, referring to the scenes in bed.
According to him, it was Aniston’s idea.
– I mean to remember that it was a suggestion from Jennifer. She was kind enough to suggest it before we started, and just “I put a pillow here,” he says with a smile.
Showed off the girlfriend
The actress is today happily in love with the French model Jeanne Cadieu (25). They have reportedly been dating since 2018, but have kept a low profile in the public eye.
Recently, they appeared together on the red carpet for the first time, at the premiere of “The Last Daughter” which Jake’s sister Maggie Gyllenhaal (43) has directed.
