PT Indonesian Railways (Persero) inaugurated the Suite Class Compartment Train at Gambir Station, Tuesday (10/10). The train is attached to the Bima train connecting Gambir-Surabaya Gubeng pp (departures from Gambir at 17.00, arrives in Surabaya Gubeng at 03.30. And departs from Surabaya Gubeng at 19.20, arrives in Gambir at 06.00).
As well as the Argo Semeru train connecting Gambir-Surabaya Gubeng pp (departure from Gambir at 06.20, arriving in Surabaya Gubeng at 16.50. And departure from Surabaya Gubeng at 09.05, arriving in Gambir at 19.40).
“By launching the Bima Reborn Train, this is a high end service. It is a class that is one level higher than the Luxury Train, and this is in the same class as first class on world class airlines,” said KAI President Director Didiek Hartantyo in Gambir Station, Central Jakarta, Tuesday (10/10/2023).
KAI provides a promo fare for the Suite Class Compartment Train for the period 10-31 October 2023 at a price of IDR 1,950,000. Didiek said that the Suite Class Compartment Train was presented to attract the market share of upper class economic society.

As the Covid-19 pandemic fades, there is an increasing trend in spending by middle and upper class people for entertainment and tourism. Luxurious facilities on trains are also a tourism product that is increasingly in demand by the public.
“We have recorded that luxury train occupancy is always high, so we plan to add 11 luxury trains. So we have to fulfill the demand for luxury class train services and above,” said Didiek.
Didiek explained that the Suite Class Compartment trains were designed for maximum customer privacy. In 1 train, there are 16 private rooms for each customer.
In each room a sliding door has been installed that can be moved automatically. The room design is dominated by golden brown colors with dim lighting to provide comfort for customers.
The chair can be reclined up to 180 degrees so it can function as a sleeping mattress. The seats can also be rotated (revolving) so that passengers can adjust to the direction of train travel.
Apart from the tilt angle of the headrest, legs and body, the warmth level of this chair can also be adjusted. This chair also has a massage feature that can be adjusted for various massage techniques. This chair also has a folding tray that can be used as a dining table or work desk.
On the side near the window there is a Train Onboard Infotainment System containing various popular films, music of various genres, and even national television channels that can be enjoyed throughout the journey. Customers are also pampered with food services in the form of appetizers, main dishes, desserts, as well as various drinks and various other special services.
