Daughter of the 4th President of the Republic of Indonesia, Yenny Wahidanchoring support to Ganjar Pranowo and Mahfud Md. Deputy Chief PKB Jazilul Fawaid said his coalition would focus on winning Anies Baswedan and Muhaimin Iskandar or Cak Imin.
“Thank God, we are focused on winning AMIN, Anies-Muhaimin. The AMIN machine is already enthusiastically moving in East Java,” said Jazilul when contacted, Friday (27/10/2023).
Jazilul also admitted that he was not worried that Anies-Cak Imin’s votes would be eroded because Yenny Wahid supported Ganjar-Mahfud. He said that East Java’s nahdliyin residents were politically aware.
“The Nahdliyin of East Java already have good political awareness, they already know the track record of the existing candidate pairs,” he said.
Not only that, Jazilul also believes that Nahdliyin residents know that Anies-Cak Imin has a better track record than Ganjar-Mahfud. “I’m sure the public thinks that way,” he added.
As previously reported, Yenny Wahid previously provided support to Ganjar Pranowo and Mahfud Md. Yenny made this declaration in front of representatives of the party supporting Ganjar-Mahfud.
Yenny Wahid officially declared his support for Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud Md at the Borobudur Hotel, Jakarta, Friday (27/10). Yenny had a chance to chat with party officials supporting Ganjar-Mahfud.
“We, the Gus Dur Cadre Team, support the pair Ganjar Pranowo and Mahfud Md,” said Yenny Wahid.
Yenny said it was not easy to make a choice to support Ganjar-Mahfud Md. Mahfud’s closeness to Gus Dur was one of the factors that led Yenny to support Ganjar-Mahfud.
“Prof Mahfud Md is a person who has always been close to us, he and Gus Dur’s cadres, this closeness has been going on for a long time since Gus Dur was still there,” said Yenny.
