Victim side Pierre Gruno, Giri D Budisetiawan, said he was satisfied with the artist’s detention. The victim of the alleged abuse also admitted that the police had been fair.
“By detaining and carrying out this investigation and detention, we have received the justice that Pak Giri has received. Regarding the process, we will leave it to the police,” said Fendy, a relative of the victim, when met at the South Jakarta Metro Police, recently.
Previously there was news that Pierre’s party had asked for peace. However, the victim did not seem willing and handed over the legal process to the police.
“So far there has been little communication, but we can’t give any statement, we’re just handing it over to the police,” he said.
According to Fendy, Giri himself had improved after being beaten by Pierre. However, Giri experiences psychological trauma due to old age.
“For now, Pak Giri’s condition has improved a little with this incident. With him being quite old, there is a bit of psychological trauma, more or less like what I’m saying,” he added.
When asked about Giri’s demands for Pierre, Fandy admitted that he had handed over the case to the police.
“We will follow from the police, we really appreciate the police who have helped and handled this case as well as possible, thank you,” he concluded.
It is known that Pierre was detained for 20 days in connection with the alleged assault on Giri D Budisetiawan on June 30 2023 at a bar. As a result of being beaten by Pierre, Giri was injured.
