Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – The government will deploy police officers and the Indonesian National Army (TNI) in order to encourage public discipline to implement health protocols or what is known as justisi operation.
Coordinating Minister for the Economy Airlangga Hartarto said the government would carry out a justisi operation in the community, which is planned to take place next week. The yustisi operation, which will run next week, will be carried out in the Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang and Bekasi (Jabodetabek) areas.
“From the Task Force [Satuan Tugas] Covid-19 and PEN, will encourage justisi operations, in which the Police and TNI will increase public discipline in the next week in Jabodetabek, “said Airlangga in a virtual conference, Friday (11/9/2020).
Previously, when holding a press conference at the BNPB office, Airlangga also said that the justisi operation involving the Police and the TNI would be carried out until it entered the office.
“And this was also discussed in a committee involving the Deputy Chief of Police, Wakasad, so that this will continue to be carried out in offices,” said Airlangga, Thursday (10/9/2020).
According to Airlangga, workers in government offices are still running. However, it is adjusted to the rules issued by the KemenPAN-RB.
With this justisi operation, Airlangga hopes that the public can implement health protocol policies, such as wearing masks, washing hands frequently, maintaining distance, and avoiding crowds.
“Workers in government offices continue to run in accordance with the regulations issued by the KemenPAN-RB so that the government regulates between WFH and WFO, and of course for office workers, flexible working is still prepared. Later of course the percentage will be determined,” he said.
“So that what has been regulated in this discipline can be obeyed by the community,” said Airlangga.
