Jakarta PSBB Tightening, PLN Customers Must Send More Metered Photos?

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government has again tightened the implementation of Large-Scale Social Restrictions (PSBB), starting Monday (9/14/2020. This step was taken, given the high number of Covid-19 spread in the National Capital area.

With the existence of this policy, the implementation of various activities is restricted again, such as the implementation of the PSBB for the period last March.

In March, various activities had to be temporarily suspended, like this recording meter electricity customer PT PLN (Persero). In the period from March to June, PLN finally decided to use the average calculation scheme for the last three months to determine customer bills.

So, will PLN do the same in implementing PSBB this time?

PLN Executive Vice President for Corporate Communication and CSR, Agung Murdifi, confirmed that during the implementation of the PSBB which will start next week, his party will still record meters directly to postpaid customers’ homes.

“The meter reading is carried out with due observance of the Ministry of Health’s Covid-19 Control Prevention Guidelines to anticipate the spread of Covid-19 by using PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) standards,” he said, in a written statement, Thursday (10/9/2020).

Agung explained that this was done to ensure the suitability of electricity bills with electricity usage by customers.
