Jakarta Provincial Government Conducts Large-Scale Patrols for Citizen Security

DKI Jakarta Provincial Government, Polda Metro Jaya, and Kodam Jaya held large-scale patrols in the Jakarta area. Large-scale patrols to provide a sense of security to the citizens of the Capital City.

“Tonight, Forkompinda conducted a large-scale joint patrol rally in the jurisdiction of Polda Metro Jaya to provide a sense of security to the people in the jurisdiction of Polda Metro Jaya,” said Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta Heru Budi Hartono at Monas, Jakarta, Saturday (13/5/ 2023).

Heru Budi thanked the Kapolda Metro Jaya Inspector General Karyoto and the Regional Military Commander Maj. Gen. Mohammad Hasan for taking the initiative to be able to provide comfort to the community. Heru Budi appealed to the whole community to obey all the rules so as not to commit criminal acts that are detrimental to society.

“And the whole community, of course, can also help maintain security in their respective areas, in the sub-district area, in the RT area, in the RW area, so security is not a burden or the full responsibility of the security forces. But, it is also the responsibility of all of us, ” he said.

Kapolda Metro re-emphasized that the attention of the government and security forces is to provide comfort for all citizens of Jakarta. Kapolda primarily pays attention to young people.

“Jakarta, and I only have one wish, for the children of Jakarta residents who are young, of course, when they leave the house, remember the time,” he said.

The police chief also reminded residents not to stay up late in gatherings. According to him, staying up all night has the potential to cause disturbance of order.

“Because sometimes when we get together, more than 5, more than 6, the ideas vary and we also find a lot of this in the areas about the potential for this disturbance,” said the Kapolda.

“Indeed, the sense of security and comfort is not only created by us, but all the apparatus community collaborates to create a safe and comfortable situation,” he added.

On the same occasion, Pangdam Jaya added that the point of large-scale patrols is to provide comfort to the community.

“And of course this is what we hope for all the security of Jakarta and the comfort of Jakarta and all its people to be realized as well as possible and that I, as the leader of the Jayakarta Military Command, will really support all the efforts that will be made by the regional government to jointly maintain the security of Jakarta,” he said.
