Jakarta –
Police Traffic Corps make material changes in the practice exam for a driving license (SIM) for motorbikes (SIM C). The track in the SIM practice exam which used to form the number 8 is now removed and replaced with form the letter ‘S’.
This change was made by Korlantas Polri following directions from the National Police Chief, General Listyo Sigit Prabowo. General Sigit previously asked the National Police Traffic Corps to evaluate the SIM C practical exam, such as making a zig-zag trajectory and the number 8 which was deemed irrelevant and difficult.
“Don’t be impressed that the making of the exam, especially practice, is only to make it difficult and in the end it gets under the table. The test doesn’t actually pass. This must be eliminated,” said Sigit, last Wednesday (21/6).
Following up on this direction from the Chief of Police, Korlantas Polri then conducted a number of studies. Korlantas Polri formed a working group for a comparative study in order to evaluate the SIM practice exam.
Sigit’s policy was then realized by changing the trajectory of the SIM practice exam. Previously, SIM applicants had to pass through the trajectory forming the number 8, now it has been replaced with a trajectory forming the letter ‘S’.

“Yes, this is a follow-up to the order from the National Police Chief. Korlantas has issued instructions for the latest driver’s license test,” said Polda Metro Jaya Dirlantas, Kombes Latif Usman, to journalists, Thursday (3/8).
Slalom Test Material Removed
Polda Metro Jaya Traffic Director Kombes Latif Usman revealed that one of the changes in the SIM practice test was to remove zig-zag or slalom material.
“Changes to the track into a circuit that accommodates four practice exam materials with a size that has been widened and without material zigzag or slalom test,” said Kombes Latif Usman, to detikcomThursday (3/8).
