Jakarta: A return flight with passengers went missing in Indonesia. Srivijaya Air SJ 182 Boeing 737-500 aircraft en route from Jakarta to Pontian went missing. Indonesian authorities have launched an investigation into the incident.
The flight took off from Soccerno Hatta International Airport in the afternoon. Within four minutes of takeoff, the plane lost contact. The plane was carrying 59 passengers. The plane reportedly lost contact on the north coast of Jakarta. Meanwhile, there are unconfirmed reports that the plane crashed on the island of Langkong.
