Chairman of the Indonesian Ulema Council (MULTI-FUNCTION) DKI Jakarta Munahar Muchtar asked the Jakarta MUI Information and Communication Division (Infokom) to be able to defend and assist the Governor of DKI Jakarta Anies Baswedan related to news.
He said this was related to his party’s efforts to fight buzzers or buzzer through the formation of a special cyber team.
“If the buzzer If we look for Anies’ fault, then Infokom will highlight Anies’ success at the national and international levels,” said Munahar, at the Jakarta-wide Infocom Communications Coordination Meeting at the Bintang Wisata Mandiri Hotel, Monday (11/10), quoted from page official.
“He (Anies) includes 21 World Heroes. In the news, I asked the DKI MUI to appoint him because we are partners with the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government,” he continued.
In early 2021, Anies was included in the list of 21 Heroes 2021 or world transportation heroes 2021 according to the Transformative Urban Mobility Initiative (TUMI) organization in Germany.
21 Heroes 2021 itself is an award given to 21 figures who are considered capable of developing a sustainable urban transportation system amidst the challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic.
In his directive, Munahar asked the DKI Jakarta MUI Infokom to carry out “Amar Ma’ruf Nahi Mungkar” to fight the buzzers who have been troubling because they are considered to have hit Ulama and discredited Muslims.
Munahar also hopes that Infokom has experts or cyber army to fight those who hit the Muslims.
“MUI doesn’t have to be afraid to say something” haq (That is true haq. I have a principle that when it comes to the Al-Quran and As-Sunnah there is no bargaining for me,” he said.
Infokom, he continued, does not only play on the pulpit, but also through news and information disseminated through official MUI Jakarta channels such as social media.
He also asked for the formation of a special cyber team under the coordination of the DKI Jakarta MUI which would later produce news and information that would be conveyed to the public.
“The DKI MUI also needs to make content every day and every MUI activity is always made up of news,” said the former chairman of the West Jakarta MUI.
At the same event, the Head of the Central MUI Infokom Commission, Mabroer MS, said, “I hope Infokom will become digital mujahids”.
