This achievement is a new record for spectators at the U-17 World Cup, excluding matches involving the Indonesian U-17 National Team. The most non-Indonesian matches were in the Panama vs Morocco match, namely 13,437 spectators.

However, it became a lot because it was the opening match for the U-17 World Cup at Manahan Stadium and after that Indonesia played against Ecuador. It could be said that the early matches were busy because the home crowd was waiting for Garuda Muda’s action.

“The atmosphere was extraordinary in today’s match at JIS. We played against England who also played well, so it attracted the attention of many people,” Leal when met in the mixed zone.

The match ended with a score of 2-1 in favor of Brazil. Selecao took an early 2-0 lead through Kaua Elias and Da Mata, before being reduced by Joel Ndala.

This result only made Brazil advance to the last 16 as runners-up. England won the group after winning by six points on goal difference.
